Abstract

The study aimed at comparing the effect of direct and indirect cyanide oral administration on the health of broiler birds in relation to energy levels. Eighty four day old chicks were used for this study. They were divided into seven groups. Group 1- served as control. Groups 2 – 4 was given sub -lethal dose of cyanide. 1, 2 and 3 mg CN/kg body weight by gavage, respectively in form of sodium cyanide (NaCN).
